Minhaj Women's League London hosted its annual Milad-un-Nabi conference on the 6th of February 2011.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Mrs Zarida Shafique the President of Minhaj Women's League London. Mrs Mahfooz Khalid (General Secretary) hosted the programme in a truly delightful style, creating an atmosphere of celebration with her quotes throughout the programme.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiza Mamoona Hussain, who has recently returned from the Minhaj-ul-Quran International head-office in Lahore, Pakistan having completed her Hifz, followed by Hamd and Naat by Women League sisters.
Minhaj Youth League Co-ordinator for Newham, sister Anbreen Hussain delivered a speech in English on the importance of celebrating Milad-un-Nabi S.A.W., attending such gatherings in a time of such uncertainty and the love of Holy Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.).

The chief guest Mrs Fatimah Mashadi (President of Minhaj Women League International) delivered a spiritually uplifting speech on the importance of Milad-un-Nabi and the seerah of the Final Prophet (S.A.W.). She highlighted the vast amount of work being done by the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for the betterment of the Muslim Ummah. She talked about the importance of direction in our life and means with which we can fill our lives and Akhirah (after life) with Allah S.W.T’s blessings.
Flowers were presented by Mrs Zarida Shafiqa and Mrs Nasim Akhtar to the representatives from the local mosques and community centres who attended the event. They thanked the 250 plus women participating in the event and the Women League sisters for their hard work and commitment which made the event possible.
The gathering concluded with invoking greetings and salutations on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) and dua before the food was served to the participants.
