MQI Manchester visited as part of the MQI UK NEC National Tour - North England leg
Sunday 2nd October 2011, the NEC (National Executive Council) of MQI UK led by President MQI NEC UK, Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi visited MQI Manchester as part of the NEC’s National Tour - North England leg. The NEC met with the voluntary workers of MQI Manchester.
Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi was joined by Tahir Mohammed (Secretary General MQI NEC UK), Moazzam Raza (Vice President of MQI NEC UK, North England), Seerat Ali Khan Qadri (Secretary Welfare MQI NEC UK) and Farhan-ul-Sabah (Deputy Secretary Welfare MQI NEC UK)
The meeting was started with Allama Shahzad Ashiq reciting from the Holy Quran, followed by a Naat in the praise of Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). The delegation was welcomed by Minhaj-ul-Quran International - Manchester’s local executive committee, President - Ateeq Butt. Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi congratulated MQI Manchester on their exemplary work and tireless efforts for MQI UK, especially with the exceptional circumstances that the Manchester branch are working under.
The delegation learnt of local activities, and how progress was being made in the educational offerings by the centre. Commitment and work of some committee members of MQI Manchester were recognised and certificates awarded in this regard. Additionally, MQI Manchester was appreciated and congratulated for their contribution and attendance in the Peace for Humanity Wembley Conference which was held on 24th September.
Seerat Ali Khan and Farhan-ul-Sabah Secretaries for Welfare, MQI NEC UK gave a motivational briefing about MWF's work in Pakistan and other countries. They provided an update of MWF UK activities to the audience and informed them of key events and dates for the forthcoming year and provided details of welfare campaigns that MQI Manchester's support and contribution would be required in.
Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi and Tahir Mohammed gave guidance to the attendees of the gathering. The talk was followed by Question and Answers, which also allowed the attendees to suggest proposals for further MQI work and improvements as well as raise any concerns they had so that they could be offered support by the NEC.
As the concluding session of the meeting Tahir Muhammad, Secretary General MQI NEC UK gave a briefing about the purpose and importance of re-organisation within our local committees. He gave a briefing on the re-organisation process and how to complete the re-organisation process following the policy guidelines. The NEC panel which was led by Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi went through the re-organisation process. Thereafter, the new structure for MQI Manchester’s LEC was announced by Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi.
At the end of the meeting Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi and Shaykh Ramzan Qadri thanked the participants for attending and led the concluding prayer.
