Sunday 1st May 2011, the NEC (National Executive Council) of MQI UK led by President MQI NEC UK, Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi visited MQI London as part of its National Tour – South England leg. The NEC met with the voluntary workers of MQI London.Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi was joined by Dr Azhar Javed (Vice President of MQI NEC UK, South England), Seerat Ali Khan Qadri (Secretary Welfare MQI NEC UK), Farhan-ul-Sabah (Deputy Secretary Welfare MQI NEC UK), Adnan Sohail, Project Manager for MWF (Minhaj Welfare Foundation) UK and Europe and Umar Naveed (MYL UK General Secretary).

• Regular weekly Zikr and monthly Halaqaat Durood gatherings are arranged
• Self-development classes are conducted alongside weekly Baitul Hikma classes
• Extensive community cohesion and integration work has been carried out, which includes:
• NPIC invited mayors, police commissioners, MPs and faithful friends to MQI’s London centre.
• Churches and Gurdawaras visited for inter-faith dialogue
• Children’s art classes work displayed in parliament, child protection policy suggested to government and approved
• Organised teacher training for schools on faith matters
• Collaboration with NHS on public health

Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi appreciated the efforts of all the Tanzeems and forums for their tireless efforts of all the Tanzeems (branches) for helping make the Qaid Day 2011 and Grand Mawlid-un-Nabi S.A.W. 2011 outstanding and exemplary Conferences.
MQI London were invited to discuss aspects of MQI with the NEC delegation, and raise any proposals, concerns and questions they had which were address by the visiting delegation. Thereafter any required re-organisation for MQI London took place.

MWF Project Manager, Adnan Sohail, had interaction with session MQI Members about their knowledge of Minhaj Welfare Foundation and its aims and objectives. Seerat Ali Khan Secretary Welfare, MQI NEC UK gave a motivational briefing about MWF's work in Pakistan and other countries. He requested members to support Minhaj Welfare Foundation to maximise donations in 2011. He informed the audience that they have been given target by MWF to increase the donations by 25% in 2011, than what they achieved in 2011.
Umar Naveed gave the audience an update on all MYL UK activities and reminded them of the forthcoming Peace for Humanity: ‘MUHAMMAD – Mercy for Mankind’ Wembley Conference on 24th September 2011.
