Sunday 1st May 2011, the NEC (National Executive Council) of MQI UK led by President MQI NEC UK, Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi visited Berkshire as part of its National Tour – South England leg. The NEC met with the voluntary workers of Redhill, Slough and Maidenhead.
Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi was joined by Dr Azhar Javed (Vice President of MQI NEC UK, South England), Seerat Ali Khan Qadri (Secretary Welfare MQI NEC UK), Farhan-ul-Sabah (Deputy Secretary Welfare MQI NEC UK), Adnan Sohail, Project Manager for MWF (Minhaj Welfare Foundation) UK and Europe and Shahzad Nadeem (Executive Member MQI NEC UK).
Attendees were invited to discuss aspects of MQI with the NEC delegation, and raise any proposals, concerns and questions they had which were address by the visiting delegation.
Further to the discussions a new Local Executive Committee was setup consolidating the 3 areas, forming a new MQI Berkshire branch of MQI UK.
The delegation congratulated the new body and informed them of the work being carried out by MQI’s forums across the UK.
MWF Project Manager, Adnan Sohail, had interaction with session MQI Members about their knowledge of Minhaj Welfare Foundation and its aims and objectives. Seerat Ali Khan Secretary Welfare, MQI NEC UK gave a motivational briefing about MWF's work in Pakistan and other countries. He requested members to support Minhaj Welfare Foundation to maximise donations in 2011.
Shaykh Muhammad Afzal Saeedi thanked the participants for attending and led the supplication prayer.
